About Me

I started designing websites in 1997 for a start up dot com company called Internet Products International. I also helped them design advertisements for print as well as a few DVD projects. We were on NASDAQ under the holding company called International Digital Holding (IDIG). This is where I cut my teeth under the direction of some very capable mentors. I was sent to major cities all over the U.S. and Europe to design, market, and sell our wares.

In 2000, I began designing and maintaining websites for the Educational Institute which is a daughter company of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). I began designing interfaces for their online hospitality training courses. In 2002, I became the webmaster for the parent company AH&LA. I spent the next 5 years designing, programming, and maintaining 14 web sites from a cushy corner office on the top floor of a high rise in downtown Orlando. I flew to the home office in Washington DC twice a year and spoke at their annual state association conferences.

By the time I left AH&LA in 2007 I had their websites saturating the search engines with thousands of pages with excellent SEO for keyword phrases with the word “hotel” in it. The word hotel is consistently one of the top 3 keywords used in the history of search engines and is one of the most competitive keywords for SEO. We were on the 1st page of results on almost all the major search engines (still are) and our traffic and revenue grew exponentially because of my SEO efforts. I also directed the installation and integration of an ecommerce system that generated almost 1 million dollars in revenue in the first year.

I started my company Embryo Design in 1997 as a part time hobby to make some extra cash. I decided to give it a go on my own in 2007 and haven’t looked back. I have the luxury of working from home and picking and choosing my clients and don’t take on just any project. I recently partnered with Pet Nutrition Products. Since becoming their webmaster we’ve seen a 300% growth in revenue in about 18 months and we’re continuing to grow at a steady rate. We’re now competing with large companies like 1800PetMeds.com, Petco and Pet Smart and recently outgrew our location and had to purchase a new warehouse to keep up with growth.

I’m also a non-professional musician and play guitar, piano, drums and sing. I also write my own songs and recorded a CD playing all the instruments myself. Music has been a passion all my life ever since hearing The Beatles for the first time. And, my grandfather was the original bass player for Bill Haley and the Comets in the 1950′s! So, you could say music is in my blood.
